Dear MRS 240 Students,

Welcome to your class discussion forum.

How to receive credit. UPDATED 4 MAY 2012. The TAs will post a topic every week or so. You may also post topics of your own. To receive credit, follow the guidelines that were set forth by Dr. Green (see "Assignments and Grading" on Carmen). Credit will be applied to all substantive contributions. Sign your posts with your first and last name so we are certain who you are. We encourage you to post on the most recent topics.

This blog is for you! There are many things you can do on Blogger that are not available on the Carmen platform. Feel free to share materials such as links, video clips, images, quotes--anything you would like to bring into the forum. Since we do not have recitation sections in this course, this is an important place to get to know your colleagues. You may also wish to make your own posts about things like setting up a study group, questions about a lesson, etc. We only ask that you use this blog for matters relating to the course, and take personal conversations elsewhere.

A professional atmosphere. You are highly encouraged to engage in academic debate on any topic that relates to the course. Let us remember always to be respectful of our colleagues and friends online, just as we would do in class.
